Student Travel Grants
SIROCCO 2023 Travel Grants
Thanks to funds from grant PROMIN*, there are up to 4 travel grants for students that attend SIROCCO 2023, of up to 500€ each to cover travel and accommodation expenses (not registration).
In order to apply for the grant, a candidate must be completing a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field in a non-Spanish college or university. The candidate has to be a student that has never been enrolled in a Spanish university, independently of the citizenship.
In order to apply, the candidate:
- Must provide: 1) A request letter (open form) and 2) An updated CV, and
- Must get her/his advisor to submit a letter stating that there are no other funds available and how the student would benefit from attending the conference. Note that having to present a paper does not provide strong support to an application, since an advisor should guarantee the availability of funds to attend before allowing the submission.
Please, send all the application material to Ernesto Jiménez at ernesto.jimenez.merino@upm.es by the deadline May 5th, 2023. The beneficiaries will be notified by May 13th, 2023.
The selection process will guarantee no discrimination based on age, race, color, sex, gender, religion, national origin, citizenship, disabilities, etc.
The PROMIN project administrator at IMDEA Networks will handle reimbursements directly with the beneficiaries after the conference. The beneficiaries will have to provide receipts and proofs of payments, including boarding passes.
*PROMIN is a project of the UNICO I+D 2021 program sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through PRTR and the European Union-NextGenerationEU, for the promotion of telecommunications studies in Spain
